Is there a driver age limit?
What documents do I need to have with me?
You must have your driver's license with you at the start of the rental. You must have it issued at least one year before the rental date. You must also have your ID or passport with you. All of the above must display the driver's name.
About driving license: You must hold a driving license issued by a European Union country or hold an International Driving Permit. The International Driving Permit must be accompanied by the driving license of the country of the driver of the car.
How is a rental day calculated?
The rental day is calculated based on 24 hours. The return of the car cannot exceed 2 hours from the corresponding time of collection. (unless otherwise agreed). If, for example, the pick-up takes place on 20/6 at 10:00 and the return takes place on 22/6 until 12:00, the rental is for 2 days. If for example the return is on 22/6 at 18:00 the rental is for 3 days.
What type of insurance is included in the price?
All rental prices include simple liability insurance, which includes the coverage provided by law. All insurance covers are valid provided that the damage is not due to a violation of the Highway Code.
ATTENTION: No Insurance Coverage Applies:
- For anything that happens to the car during its transport by ship.
- For anything that happens and it is found that the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- For damage caused by driving on unpaved roads.
- For personal items inside the car.
- For accidents caused by a driver not stated in the rental contract.
- For accidents for which the lessee has not informed Zannikos Cars and filed/submitted a relevant accident statement, as defined by Greek Legislation, regardless of his fault.
Can I travel to another island with the car?
The rental of the car is for driving it on the island of Syros. However, you can travel to another island ONLY after Zannikos Cars's agreement and approval
